Our next featured artists are a very good London based Anglo-Norwegian five-piece band called Circumnavigate. With Scandinavian folk and jazz infused pop these multi-instrumentalists are at the top of their game. The band are Sigrid (Vocals), Carl Frederik (Piano/Guitar), Ross (Drums/Percussion) and Charlie (Bass). Our LCM #TrackOfTheDay is a live version of 'Secret' taken from a recent Croft Session. The band are working on a new debut album which should be out later this year.

The band is influenced by a range of different artists and styles of music, and they often find it hard to describe what or who they sound like. The jazzy trumpet pulls them in one direction; the haunting vocals or folky guitars in other ones. The name 'Circumnavigate' then makes a lot of sense, as they try to circumnavigate the traditional musical genres and create something unique. That...and they looked through a dictionary many years ago in the hopes of finding a cool name!
