Southern Gothic - Tyminski

It's always very exciting when our next LCM featured artist Dan Tyminski releases new material. Dan is very well know for being part of Alison Krauss' supergroup Union Station, the singing voice of George Clooney in 'Oh Brother', provided the vocals on EDM artist Avicii's global smash "Hey Brother." and is also a superb singer-songwriter in his own right. On the 27th October Dan will be releasing his excellent new 13-track album 'Southern Gothic' and our LCM #TrackOfTheDay is the atmospheric and dark title track with it's very strong narrative, the battle between good and evil.

Dan Tyminski musical career has spanned over three decades. Now, the Vermont-born singer-songwriter is releasing his new solo album 'Southern Gothic' through Decca (UMC) under a solitary moniker, Tyminski.

The new album sees Dan mixing his roots music pedigree with a wide range of contemporary influences co-written with some of country's best and brightest talents. Many of the songs were inspired by Dan's perceptions of "light and dark" and was originally written for other artists, though he ultimately decided to record them himself. Co-writers on Southern Gothic include Sarah Buxton, Jesse Frasure, Ashley Monroe, Josh Kear and the late Andrew Dorff.
