LCM Song Of The Day: ‘Colors’ - Black Pumas

Recently nominated for a Grammy for ‘Best New Artist’ our next featured artists are the Austin based psychedelic soul and rock band the Black Pumas. This excellent live version of ‘Colors’ was recorded at the Arlyn studios in Austin. The Black Pumas released their self-titled debut album on June 21st via ATO records. We love their retro late 60’s early 70’s sound and think that this song has touches of Michael Kiwanuka and The Heavy.

They are also coming to the UK in the new year with their London date at The Islington Assembly Hall on February 7th.

The band are a creative partnership between Grammy Award-winning guitarist/producer Adrian Quesada and 27-year-old songwriter Eric Burton. They were also voted ‘Best New Band’ at the 2019 Austin Music Awards.
