Twinnie - Type Of Girl

LCM Song Of The Day: ‘Type Of Girl’ - Twinnie

Our next LCM featured track is by one of the new rising stars of UK Country, singer-songwriter and actress Twinnie-Lee Moore. Her new single and video ‘Type of Girl’ is a lot of fun and often ‘tongue in cheek’. It really showcases her many talents, as Twinnie portrays a host of strong female characters and icons such as Marilyn, Shania and Ginger Rogers.

Twinnie is set to release her highly anticipated debut album ‘Hollywood Gypsy’ on April 17th through BMG. This will be backed by a UK tour in March with a London date at Omeara on March 24th and showcase sets at C2C, March 13th-15th.

Twinnie comments “I really hope you enjoy it! This idea has been in my head for two years & It was a dream come true when we were filming to see it come to life. Huge shout out to my whole team who worked so hard, it was a busy day for everyone but they all killed it. Special thank you to our director Chris Turner, my choreographer Mark Jennings, hair and makeup team Luke Pluckrose & Buster Knight, styling David Hawkins. p.s I think Mark Jennings plays the part of the uninterested, bored casting director really well. tbh I would definitely put me on a strong hold/ heavy pencil for the part!! :) “

Named by Rolling Stone as one of the stand-out acts at this year’s Country2Country festival, recently signed to a global major label in 2017 and with acclaim for her extraordinary, storytelling songs snowballing, That Twinnie can sing will come as no surprise to anyone who watched her in West End musicals - We Will Rock You, Chicago, A Chorus Line, Rock Of Ages and Footloose among them - although her gorgeous, gravelly, country-tinged vocals still caught many off guard when she self-released her debut EP ‘Better When I'm Drunk’ in 2019.

At the 2019 British Country Music Association Awards, Twinnie received nominations for Female Vocalist of the Year and UK Song of the Year for "Better When I'm Drunk".
