Our next LCM recommended artist is a young a 16 year old singer-songwriter from Kent, Katie Kittermaster. Although still a teenager Katie's vocals are haunting and distinctive. Her songwriting is based on her personal experiences, which resonate strongly with her peers. We really like Katie's vocals and they remind us of Jasmine Thompson.

Katie lived in Dubai for 3 years where she was lucky enough to perform for Ricky Martin, 50 Cent and Eva Longoria. She also opened the charity event at the British Embassy for the high profile charity ‘Help For Heroes’.

‘Can You Hear Me?’ is Katie’s debut single. She gained her first BBC airplay with BBC 3 Counties on the Mike Naylor show. She has also had an incredible amount of local radio play, which bodes very well for the future.

Katie will be live on BBC Kent on Friday 2nd June, singing her new song ‘Kaleidoscope’. This summer brings a season of busking, playing some local festivals and further songwriting before launching her debut EP towards the end of August.

Although still at school, it will be very interesting to see how Katie develops on her new music journey. All of us here at LCM wish her every success and we will keep you updated on her progress.
