Robert Chaney is a very good singer-songwriter originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, but now resident in London. His great new debut album 'Cracked Picture Frames' was released in mid February 2015. Written in the bleached out swamps of South Florida and recorded in London, 'Cracked Picture Frames' is a hard-core and stripped-down survey of ballad, blood, and bone. Robert co-wrote part of the album with German born singer-songwriter Laura Tenschert
Robert is an American performing artist, heir to the songwriting tradition of musicians like Townes Van Zandt, Hank Williams, and Judee Sill.
'Sharp, intelligent, thoughtful and moving' (Folk Radio UK)
The bristling full-length debut by American songwriter Robert Chaney rings with echoes of Bob Dylan, Townes Van Zandt, and early Tom Waits, but the exceptional quality of Chaney's lyrics, as well as his melodic sensibility make for a thoroughly original album that is 'head and shoulders above its peers' (Blabber 'n' Smoke).
