Opened at the end of Jan 2017 The Sound Lounge is one of the newest premier music venues in South London. By day it is an excellent Vegan/Vegetarian Cafe, Art centre and community space, which transforms into a music venue on Thursday through Sunday nights. With a 9x3m stage area, excellent sound and lighting rig, the venue can accommodate anything from solo performers to large bands. The venue also has a Green Room.
The new Sound Lounge is the second venue that Keiron and Hannah have managed. The original Sound Lounge was a smaller space in Merton Abbey Mills. The Sound Lounge is also run as a non-profit making CIC (Community Interest Company). The high quality fit-out was made possible through a crowdfunding campaign which raised over £15,000 last year. The bar stocks a range of beers, ciders, wine and soft drinks. The food is fantastic and well worth trying.
The Sound Lounge also have Tom Robinson, Baylen Leonard and Paul Sexton as their official patrons. All of which are huge supporters of independent musicians and their music.
