On a crisp and cold night in London Town a capacity audience at the historic St. Pancras Old Church enjoyed a great evening of music from two excellent groups of musicians and some of our personal LCM favourites. The night marked the combination of two UK tours Hattie's Briggs 'Young Runaway' and The Willows 'Amidst Fiery Skies'. The evening also marked the launch of Hattie's new EP "Here's to Hoping" an excellent taster of her highly anticipated forthcoming second album.
The evening began with an excellent set from Stroud based Hattie and her trio who was nominated for the BBC Radio 2 folk award and the winner of our LCM Favourite new artist in 2015. They played a mixture of songs from her five star rated debut album ' Red & Gold' and well as wonderful new material from her 'Young Runaway' album.
This was The Willows first London date since Jade had her baby and they was certainly back to form as one of the best live folk/americana band in the country. Their music was perfectly suited to the wonderful acoustics of the church.
