Happy People - Little Big Town
Our next LCM featured artist are the multi-award winning Nashville based Country group Little Big Town. They released their excellent seventh studio album 'The Breaker' on February 24th. Our LCM #TrackOfTheDay is the upbeat and joyous 'Happy People'. It reminds us a lot of Shania Twain. Their previous single 'Better Man', which we also featured earlier this year was written by Taylor Swift.
Founded in 1998, the group has comprised the same four members since its founding: Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman (formerly Kimberly Roads), Jimi Westbrook, and Phillip Sweet. Their musical style relies heavily on four-part vocal harmonies, with all four members alternating as lead vocalists; Jimi & Phillip also play rhythm guitar.
Little Big Town are coming to the UK for a tour starting in late September, with their London date on the 5th October at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall. They are excellent live and a lot of fun. Highly recommended.
