Little Big Town - The Daughters
LCM Song Of The Day: ‘The Daughters’ - Little Big Town
Our LCM featured track today is the very powerful new single from the always excellent multi award winning Little Big Town. It comments strongly on female empowerment and gender equality, a big current issue in Country music. The .lyrics detail everything young women go through in trying to conform to society's expectations. LBT’s Karen Fairchild wrote the song with Sean McConnell and Ashley Ray. This highly-anticipated new track is the first available from the band’s forthcoming ninth studio album. I think it has touches of Brandi Carlile. The song was showcased live at the recent 54th ACM 2019 awards.
